Kasa & Tapo plugs/bulbs/strips + the kasa CLI · IoT

Kasa and Tapo are TP-Link's smart-home lines (plugs, bulbs, strips, wall switches, sensors). Control both locally; no cloud; with python-kasa and its kasa command-line tool: kasa discover finds devices on your LAN, kasa --host on|off switches them, and kasa --host state reads status. The same library also drives newer Tapo and Kasa-Matter devices; pass --username/--password for those. Install it from the buttons below (pip; or pipx install python-kasa for an isolated CLI), or use it through Home Assistant's TP-Link integration; manage devices in the Kasa / Tapo apps.
