Bluetooth Beacons on a Mac

Bluetooth beacons are small BLE transmitters broadcasting an identifier (Apple iBeacon UUID/major/minor, or Google Eddystone UID/URL/TLM) for proximity, indoor positioning and presence triggers. There's no server to install; a Mac can scan for them (CoreBluetooth) or even broadcast iBeacon, and HA/ESPHome BLE proxies can surface them as presence sensors. Use them to trigger automations (Home Automation / Power Control) or attendance/zone logic; pair physical beacons (or an ESP32) with a scanner near each zone.
