Matter on a Mac

Matter-only plugs such as Onvis (Matter over Thread) and the Matter edition of the Amazon Basics Smart Plug have no network API of their own; share them from Apple Home or Alexa to Home Assistant's Matter integration (multi-admin pairing code), then add the resulting switch in Power Control as a Home Assistant outlet. The original Alexa-only Amazon Basics plug can't be controlled outside Alexa. Matter is the unified, IP-based smart-home standard (over Wi-Fi and Thread). The open-source python-matter-server commissions and controls Matter devices and is what Home Assistant uses. Run via Docker or pip; WebSocket API on :5580.
