Anker SOLIX on a Mac
Smart plugs, smart meters and solar storage over local Modbus TCP · IoT
Anker SOLIX covers smart plugs, whole-circuit smart meters and solar/battery storage (Solarbank). The part that matters for administration is that recent hardware speaks plain Modbus TCP on port 502 over your LAN; no Anker account, no cloud API key, and nothing leaving the network. Turn on Third-Party Control in the Anker app (device settings ▸ Third-Party Control Settings), note the device's LAN IP, and add it in Power Control. FrontierStack drives two device types directly: the SOLIX Smart Plug Gen 2 (firmware 0.0.8.4+) as a switchable outlet with live wattage; so it can be linked to a server and used for automatic power-cycling like any other plug; and the SOLIX Smart Meter Gen 2 as a monitor-only source of whole-circuit power, signed so grid *export* reads as negative, plus a cumulative energy total. Avoid the reverse-engineered Anker *cloud* API used by some community integrations: it can break without notice, and the account permits only one token at a time, so authenticating from another client signs you out of the Anker mobile app. Solarbank storage is not modelled natively; reach it through Home Assistant if you need generation and state-of-charge.
