FrontierStack Terms of Service
Effective: 8 August 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Enfour, Inc. (“Enfour”, “we”, “us”) governing your download, installation and use of FrontierStack, its companion applications, websites, updates, support and online features (together, the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you use FrontierStack for an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind it. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
1. Licence and permitted use
Subject to these Terms and the licence tier you obtain, Enfour grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use FrontierStack on devices you own or control. FrontierStack is licensed, not sold. App Store use is also subject to Apple’s applicable Usage Rules, including permitted Family Sharing or volume purchasing. Open-source components remain governed by their own licences.
You may not resell, sublicense or provide the Services as a bureau service; bypass licence, usage, security or approval controls; interfere with the Services; use them unlawfully; or reverse engineer them except where applicable law or an open-source licence expressly permits it.
2. Administrative software and your responsibility
FrontierStack can inspect and change computers, servers, services, databases, DNS, network devices and third-party accounts. Some actions can interrupt service, expose a port, alter security, incur charges or cause data loss. You are responsible for selecting the correct target, maintaining tested backups, reviewing proposed actions, protecting credentials, limiting access, and complying with the rules of every system and third-party service you administer. Do not rely on FrontierStack as your only monitoring, backup, security or recovery control.
3. AI features: useful, guarded, and not guaranteed
We cannot guarantee that our AI will “play nice”. AI may misunderstand a request, invent facts, choose the wrong tool, produce insecure or unsuitable instructions, overlook a risk, or behave unpredictably. Output is not professional, legal, financial, medical or security advice. Always review AI output and every proposed action before relying on or approving it.
FrontierStack uses strict guardrails, including deterministic secret redaction, bounded tools, permission controls, confirmation steps and action logging. These controls reduce risk; they do not make AI infallible, guarantee that every secret is detected, or make an unsafe approval safe. You remain responsible for actions you approve and for supervising automated or remotely initiated work.
4. FrontierStack AI and outside AI services
FrontierStack may let you use a local model, your own outside AI provider, or FrontierStack AI. When you choose an online option, already-processed prompt content and related request data may be sent to Enfour’s or its partners’ servers to provide the response. Provider identities, models, routing and infrastructure may change without an app update. Third-party services may also have their own terms and privacy practices, which you are responsible for reviewing.
Use of FrontierStack’s AI servers is free for users for now. We may introduce, change or remove quotas, fair-use limits, eligibility, models, features, paid plans or availability. We may change our AI engine use policy at any time, including to protect users, prevent abuse, control cost, meet partner requirements or comply with law. Where applicable law requires notice or consent, we will provide it.
5. Privacy, credentials and security
You must not intentionally submit passwords, private keys, regulated personal data or other secrets to an online AI service unless you are authorised to do so and accept that service’s terms. FrontierStack’s redaction and Prompt Firewall features are defence in depth, not a substitute for minimising data or checking what is sent. You are responsible for securing your Mac, paired devices, API keys, SSH access, network exposure and backups. Security descriptions apply to the version and configuration in use and are not a warranty that the Services are invulnerable.
6. Accounts, fees and subscriptions
Prices, billing periods, included devices and features are those shown when you purchase. Taxes may apply. Subscriptions renew until cancelled under the terms shown by the seller or app store. Except where law or the seller’s rules require otherwise, fees already paid are non-refundable. Free, trial, preview and beta features may be limited, changed or ended.
7. Third-party services and content
FrontierStack can connect to software, hardware, networks, websites and APIs that Enfour does not control. We are not responsible for their availability, accuracy, security, charges, changes or conduct. Integration does not mean endorsement or partnership. You are responsible for obtaining permission and complying with third-party terms.
8. Ownership and feedback
Enfour and its licensors retain all rights in FrontierStack, its branding and proprietary content. You retain rights in your data and content. If you voluntarily provide suggestions or feedback, you allow Enfour to use them without restriction or payment, without identifying you unless you agree.
9. Changes, suspension and termination
We may update the Services and these Terms. Material changes will be posted on this page and, where reasonably practicable or legally required, notified in the app or by another appropriate method. Continued use after a change takes effect means you accept the revised Terms. You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for a serious or repeated breach, security risk, fraud, abuse, legal requirement, or threat to the Services or others.
10. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available”. Enfour disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement and uninterrupted or error-free operation. We do not promise that monitoring will detect every failure, that alerts will arrive, that security checks will find every vulnerability, that an AI response will be correct or safe, or that an administrative action will have the intended result. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or right that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Enfour will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, business, goodwill, data or service availability arising from the Services. Enfour’s aggregate liability for claims arising from the Services will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid Enfour for FrontierStack during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim or US$100. These limits do not apply where prohibited by law, including liability that cannot be excluded or limited for intentional misconduct, gross negligence, personal injury, or under applicable consumer protection law.
12. Apple App Store terms
If you obtained FrontierStack through Apple’s App Store, these Terms are between you and Enfour, not Apple. Enfour, not Apple, is responsible for FrontierStack, support, product claims and intellectual-property claims. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support. If FrontierStack fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple for any refund available under Apple’s rules; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce this section.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The Tokyo District Court will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes, except where mandatory law gives a consumer the right to bring a claim elsewhere. Before filing a claim, please contact us so we can try to resolve it informally.
14. General and contact
If part of these Terms is unenforceable, it will be limited or removed only to the minimum extent necessary and the rest will remain effective. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; Enfour may assign them as part of a merger, reorganisation or transfer of the Services. Headings are for convenience only.
Questions about these Terms may be sent through FrontierStack Support.
This page is intended to be readable, but it is still a legal agreement. If a translated version conflicts with the English version, the English version controls except where applicable law requires otherwise.
Run it all from one Mac app.
FrontierStack installs, monitors and secures the whole stack — locally and across your fleet — from a single native macOS app.
