SmartThings is Samsung's smart-home platform; its hubs, TVs and appliances plus thousands of Zigbee, Z-Wave, Matter and cloud-connected devices from other brands. FrontierStack reads every device's health (online or offline) through the official SmartThings API in one list call, and the bell on any device alerts when it goes offline (through Alerts, so contacts and escalation presets apply). Signing in. For lasting monitoring, create your own OAuth app once with the SmartThings CLI: smartthings apps:create ▸ OAuth-In App, scope r:devices:*, redirect URI http://localhost:53683/ (or, if that isn't accepted, a redirect URL on a site you control; the code appears in its address bar and you paste it back). Enter its client ID and secret and choose Sign In; FrontierStack keeps the refresh token in the Keychain and renews access automatically. A personal access token also works, but tokens created after 30 December 2024 expire after 24 hours, so use one only to try it out. An expired sign-in or an unreachable SmartThings cloud is shown as a sign-in problem, never as devices going offline.
