YARA is the de-facto tool for classifying files and processes by rules; text/binary/hex patterns plus conditions that identify malware families and IOCs. brew install yara, then yara rules.yar (-r recurses); compile with yarac. Rules pair well with CAPE/Cuckoo sandbox output and incident triage.
