Step CA on a Mac
Your own private certificate authority (self-hosted) · Secrets & Vaults
Step CA (smallstep) runs a private ACME-compatible CA — issue internal TLS certs, SSH certificates and short-lived credentials. Install with Homebrew (step-ca + the step CLI), bootstrap with step ca init, and point internal services (even certbot/Traefik) at its ACME endpoint. The Certificates pane's dashboard health-checks it.
Run Step CA with FrontierStack
FrontierStack lists Step CA in its Secrets & Vaults catalog. Install or connect it from one place, then monitor its status, ports and certificate, secure it with the firewall and Malware Audit, and back it up.
Run it all from one Mac app.
FrontierStack installs, monitors and secures the whole stack — locally and across your fleet — from a single native macOS app.
