Bramble on a Mac
Free peer-to-peer password manager; no account, no server (macOS app) · Secrets & Vaults
Bramble (bramble.sh) is a free, open-source peer-to-peer password manager: the vault is encrypted on each device (Argon2id + AES-256-GCM, shared Rust core) and synced directly between your paired devices over an encrypted, mutually authenticated WebRTC channel; there is no account and no server holding your passwords. Apps for macOS (brew install --cask bramble), Linux (APT, AppImage, .deb/.rpm, Nix), iOS, Android and Chromium/Firefox extensions; no Windows desktop build yet. It imports from 1Password, Bitwarden, Proton Pass, LastPass, Enpass, KeePass, Apple Passwords and Google, exports an encrypted .bramble backup or a KeePass .kdbx, and can schedule ciphertext-only backups to Dropbox, S3 or WebDAV/Nextcloud. Devices find each other through a signalling relay; the hosted one by default, or your own: see Bramble Signalling Relay below for one-click self-hosting, and Bramble Mailbox for sync between devices that are never online at the same time. Bramble has no CLI or API, so FrontierStack can't read secrets from it the way it does from 1Password or Bitwarden.
