Bramble Mailbox on a Mac
Store-and-forward sync server for Bramble devices that are never online together · Secrets & Vaults
The Bramble mailbox (AGPL-3.0) holds sealed vault changes and files until every device in a group has collected them, then deletes them; so a laptop and a phone that are never on at the same time still sync. It reads nothing it stores, and every request is signed by a device in the group. It runs on Node 24 from the Bramble repo (pnpm install, then pnpm --filter bramble-mailbox-server start), listening on 7401 with data in DATA_DIR (mailbox.db + bodies/). Set MAILBOX_TOKEN (16+ URL-safe characters) to make it private, RETENTION_MAX_DAYS (default 365) and optionally QUOTA_BYTES. GET /health answers ok, which is what this pane checks. Put it behind a TLS reverse proxy and give the app https://your-host; the token goes in Bramble's mailbox settings, never in the URL. There is no published image, so it isn't one-click here.
