Network UPS Tools (NUT) is free, open-source software; the core server and client tools require no subscription. It monitors UPS, PDU and SCD hardware over USB/serial/SNMP and shares status across the network via the upsd daemon, triggering safe shutdowns on power loss. The standard on Linux/BSD/Synology; clients connect on :3493. Configure each NUT or OpenNMC controller from Power Control or a pinned UPS: server address, UPS discovery, status and optional least-privilege command credentials belong to that controller. This package pane intentionally has no generic API credential or Plan & Cost card because NUT is not a paid HTTP service. Record any separately purchased vendor support or third-party hosted dashboard under its own service instead.
