Alertmanager receives alerts from Prometheus, groups and deduplicates them, applies silences and inhibition rules, then routes notifications to email, webhooks and incident systems. Its UI/API normally serves on port 9093. Anyone who can reach that endpoint can read its data and change silences or alerts, so keep it private or enable TLS and authentication with --web.config.file.
