Nutanix on a Mac

HCI platform — AHV hypervisor + Prism management · Containers

Nutanix is a hyperconverged infrastructure platform: the AHV hypervisor with distributed storage, managed by Prism Element (per-cluster) or Prism Central (multi-cluster). Both listen on :9440 over HTTPS with self-signed certificates by default. FrontierStack monitors a cluster through the REST API — Prism Element v2.0 (/PrismGateway/services/rest/v2.0/cluster, Basic auth) reports cluster name, node count, redundancy state and alerts. Note Nutanix has announced that legacy v0.8/v1/v2/v3 APIs are deprecated from the Q4-CY2026 release, so new work should target the v4 namespaced APIs (/api/clustermgmt/v4.x/config/clusters, requiring PC 7.3 / AOS 7.3), which also support X-Ntnx-Api-Key header auth. Community Edition runs Prism Element and exposes the same v2 API.

Run Nutanix with FrontierStack

FrontierStack lists Nutanix in its Containers catalog. Install or connect it from one place, then monitor its status, ports and certificate, secure it with the firewall and Malware Audit, and back it up.

Run it all from one Mac app.

FrontierStack installs, monitors and secures the whole stack — locally and across your fleet — from a single native macOS app.
