NETGEAR Smart Managed Switches on a Mac
Smart Managed Plus & Pro PoE switches · Routers & Firewalls
NETGEAR's Smart Managed Plus PoE switches (GS305EP, GS308EP, GS316EP and their PP models) have no API, so FrontierStack signs in to the switch's own web page the way its browser form does (the password is hashed with the switch's seed, never sent in clear) and uses its PoE Reset to power-cycle ports, and reads per-port power and status. They serve HTTP only, so keep them on a trusted LAN. Smart Managed Pro models (GS7xxTP, GS1xxTP, MS510TXPP…) speak SNMP and the standard PoE MIB instead; add those as SNMP switches. Cloud-managed NETGEAR Insight switches have no public PoE API: add Insight as a web-only entry. All of it lives in the Power over Ethernet pane.
