nerdctl on a Mac
Docker-compatible CLI for containerd · Containers
nerdctl is a Docker-compatible CLI for containerd — the same run / build / compose UX as docker, plus containerd-native extras (lazy image pulling, image encryption, and the Kubernetes image namespace via --namespace k8s.io). It ships with Rancher Desktop when you select the containerd engine; otherwise brew install nerdctl or use it with Colima/Lima/containerd. A drop-in replacement for the docker command.
