InfiniBand Fabric on a Mac

InfiniBand HCA/fabric — ports, SM, port-error counters · Storage & NAS

InfiniBand is a high-throughput, low-latency fabric (HCAs + IB switches, managed by a Subnet Manager, opensm or switch-embedded). Tooling (Linux rdma-core / OFED, infiniband-diags): ibstat / ibstatus (port LID/state/rate), ibv_devinfo, ibnetdiscover (topology), perfquery and ibdiagnet (port error/congestion counters), sminfo (which SM is master), ibping. NVIDIA UFM gives fabric-wide monitoring with a REST API. No macOS support. Monitor: port state/rate, symbol & link-error counters, and SM health over SSH (AI Harness).
