UrBackup on a Mac

Client/server network backup; file + image backups to your NAS (self-hosted) · Storage & NAS

UrBackup is an open-source client/server backup system: a server on your NAS or a Linux/Windows/FreeBSD box receives incremental and full file backups (Windows, macOS, Linux clients) and whole-disk image backups (Windows), deduplicated across clients. It's a one-click app on TrueNAS SCALE, and also ships as packages and a Docker image (uroni/urbackup-server). Web interface on :55414. The pane connects live through that web interface's JSON API (anonymous, or an admin account; the password is hashed the way the web UI does it and never sent) and shows each client's last file and image backup, whether it is overdue, running activities and storage used. Read-only, checked every 10 minutes: overdue clients and an unreachable server raise alerts in the Backups group.
