OpenMediaVault on a Mac

Debian-based NAS OS; SMB/NFS/rsync, plugins (self-hosted) · Storage & NAS

OpenMediaVault (OMV) is the Debian-based NAS operating system: filesystems and shared folders, SMB/CIFS, NFS, FTP/SFTP and rsync services, S.M.A.R.T. monitoring, software RAID, scheduled jobs and a plugin system (omv-extras adds Docker/Portainer and ZFS). It runs on modest hardware and is a common choice for a Raspberry Pi or a repurposed PC. Because it's plain Debian with SSH, FrontierStack monitors it as a first-class remote Linux NAS: add it with Link a Server for host health, disk/SMART and RAID status, detected services, log reading, the Service Watchdog and Alerts. Web admin UI on :80 (:443 when you enable TLS).
