Huawei Routers & Wi-Fi on a Mac
LTE/5G routers, Wi-Fi routers, fibre ONTs, AR/NetEngine, AirEngine APs · Routers & Firewalls
Huawei network gear, pinned as devices with the matching platform. LTE/5G routers (HiLink: B311/B535/B628/B818, E5186/E5785, 5G CPE H112/H122/H138) get a live status check: connection, 4G/5G network, operator, signal (RSRP/RSRQ/SINR) and Wi-Fi clients, plus model and firmware after signing in with the web password (user admin, default http://192.168.8.1). Monitoring raises an alert when the mobile connection drops. FrontierStack signs in at most every 10 minutes (every sweep on a model that hides even its status page) and always signs out again, and it stops retrying a refused password for 30 minutes so the router never locks its own page. Wi-Fi routers and mesh (AX/BE/WS) and EchoLife/OptiXstar fibre ONTs have no open local API: FrontierStack opens their web UI and checks that it answers. Enterprise gear running VRP (AR/NetEngine routers, USG firewalls, S/CloudEngine switches, wireless controllers) gets HTTPS web UI and SSH access, with interface monitoring through SNMP. AirEngine access points are managed from their controller or iMaster NCE-Campus. Discovery recognises Huawei MAC addresses and product names and suggests the right platform.
