Apple's native `container` tool; Linux containers in per-container VMs · Containers

Apple's open-source container CLI runs Linux containers natively on Apple silicon, with each container isolated in its own lightweight VM ("container machine"). FrontierStack's Containers pane lists Apple containers and images, starts/stops the system, and can create & run new container machines (container run) and pull images. Install from the GitHub releases. For a graphical front-end, Davit (davit.app, brew install --cask davit) is a recommended GUI for the same CLI; the Containers pane can install and open it. Davit needs the container CLI installed as well; it does not replace it.
