A full remote for your Mac — in your pocket
The free companion iPhone & iPad app (universal, iOS 16+) turns FrontierStack on your Mac into something you can drive from anywhere — pick any server (the Mac included), control its services, run a real shell, chat with the AI Administrator, and act, without opening your laptop. It’s a native client over the same servers the Mac app already runs, so it’s fast and private.
Pair in seconds
On the Mac, open Paired Devices → Pair a device and the app shows a QR code. Scan it with your phone and you’re connected — pairing enrols a per-device key, so no passwords are typed or shared. If your Mac has an App Lock password, the phone adopts it and asks for the same passcode.
Your whole fleet
The Fleet tab lists every pinned server with a live status dot — the Mac is just the first row. Open one to start/stop/restart/reload its services, reboot it, run diagnostics, view logs, open its web UI, and reach Remote Tools (ping, traceroute, ports, web check, log tail) and Fleet Run (one operation across every server). Your pinned LAN devices sit below in collapsible sections, each with its own status and web UI.
Services, synced
The Services tab mirrors the Mac’s sidebar in collapsible sections — anything you’ve hidden on the desktop stays hidden here, and you can show or hide from the phone too.
A real shell & the AI Administrator
The Shell tab opens a command-line on the Mac or any server, logging in automatically with the credentials stored on your Mac — which never travel to the phone. Run your saved scripts and presets too. And when the Mac is offline, direct SSH takes over: enable it on a server (while the Mac is online) and the phone installs its own SSH key there, so it can open a real terminal straight to the server from anywhere it can reach that network — no Mac in the loop, and the Mac's own key never copied to the phone. The AI tab is a multi-turn chat with the same AI Administrator: it shows the tools it runs, read-only until you switch on Allow changes.
Monitor & push alerts
Receive the same trouble alerts as push notifications — a service down, a certificate expiring, a budget crossed. Switch network Locations to scope monitoring or reach another site’s gear over VPN/Tailscale, and open the Mac’s temporary Debug Shares.
Secure by design
Each phone gets its own signed-request identity (Ed25519), and you decide what it may do: grant a scope from read-only up to full control — with an extra, explicit “Allow remote shell” grant for the terminal — see each device’s last-seen time, and revoke any device from the Mac at any time (Paired Devices). The app itself locks with a passcode or Face/Touch ID, and mirrors the Mac’s own App Lock.
