Automation at every level
FrontierStack automates from a one-off scheduled script all the way up to a fully agentic loop — and it plugs into the macOS automation tools you already use, so it becomes one step in a bigger workflow rather than another silo.
1. Saved scripts on a schedule
Keep the command-line steps you run all day in the Scripts palette — a small, always-on-top window — and run them with a click, or schedule them on real system cron: backups, deploys, cache warmers, log rotation. Each saved script is a genuine executable that can target this Mac, a local Docker container or a cloud server over SSH, so what you test by hand is exactly what runs unattended.
2. Apple Shortcuts, Siri & AppleScript
FrontierStack ships native Shortcuts actions (App Intents), so you can wire it into the rest of your Mac — and they come with built-in Siri phrases, so you can trigger them by voice. Drop the same actions into a Shortcut you run with a click, a hotkey, the menu bar or Spotlight, and chain them with anything else Shortcuts can do. They work from Automator too — because Automator can run Shortcuts and AppleScript, the actions slot into an Automator workflow or Folder Action. Actions include:
- Run Server Script — run any saved script by name
- Start / Stop Service Group, Restart Service, Restart Docker Container
- Get Local Health, Get Server Status, List Servers, List Docker Containers
- Apply Sidebar Preset, Flush DNS Cache, Send Notification
- Ask Server Assistant — send a plain-English question to the AI Administrator and get the answer back into your workflow
Prefer voice? The built-in Siri phrases mean you can just say “Check server health with FrontierStack”, “Start my servers with FrontierStack” or “Ask FrontierStack…”. Prefer URLs? Every pane, server, site, container and Cloudflare zone has a frontierstack:// deep link, so an AppleScript or a shell step like open frontierstack://pane/Security jumps straight there — handy from Automator’s “Run Shell Script”, a launcher or any script runner.
3. Alerts & agents that run themselves
