How do I run frp Server (frps) on a Mac?

frp exposes services behind NAT or a firewall through a server you control. frps runs on a machine with a public address (a VPS, or a router-forwarded host); clients (frpc) connect out to it on :7000 and publish TCP/UDP/HTTP/HTTPS ports through it. The self-hosted alternative to ngrok or Cloudflare Tunnel when you want no third party in the path. brew install frps, edit $(brew --prefix)/etc/frp/frps.toml, then start it as a service. Set auth.token before exposing it, and the optional web dashboard (webServer.port, commonly :7500) needs a password.

With FrontierStack you can install or connectfrp Server (frps) from its Proxy Gateways catalog, then monitor its health, ports and certificate alongside the rest of your stack.

Run it from your Mac.

FrontierStack installs, monitors and secures services on this Mac and on linked servers; and keeps your passwords and keys out of any AI's sight.
