How do I run mitmproxy on a Mac?

mitmproxy intercepts, inspects, modifies and replays HTTP/1, HTTP/2, HTTP/3 and WebSocket traffic; for debugging APIs, mobile apps and webhooks. Three front ends: mitmproxy (terminal UI), mitmweb (browser UI on :8081, proxy on :8080) and mitmdump (scriptable, Python add-ons). Also runs as a reverse proxy (--mode reverse:http://localhost:3000) to watch traffic to one backend. To see HTTPS, the device must trust the CA in ~/.mitmproxy (visit http://mitm.it through the proxy); remove that trust when you're done. Inspect only traffic you're authorised to.

With FrontierStack you can install or connectmitmproxy from its Proxy Gateways catalog, then monitor its health, ports and certificate alongside the rest of your stack.

Run it from your Mac.

FrontierStack installs, monitors and secures services on this Mac and on linked servers; and keeps your passwords and keys out of any AI's sight.
