Photon on a Mac

Self-hosted OpenStreetMap geocoder (search-as-you-type) · Search

Photon (by komoot) is an open-source geocoder built for OpenStreetMap data — fast search-as-you-type forward geocoding and reverse geocoding via a simple JSON API, multilingual, typo-tolerant, powered by Elasticsearch/OpenSearch. Self-host the prebuilt index or import your own extract. Java; API on :2322. A privacy-friendly alternative to cloud geocoding. (If you meant Photon Engine — the multiplayer game server — say so and I'll add that instead.)
