olsrd implements OLSR; a proactive mesh routing protocol for mobile ad-hoc and community wireless networks (used by Funkfeuer and others). Run olsrd on each mesh node over its wireless interface; plugins add a status httpinfo page and dynamic gateways. Mostly deployed on Linux/router firmware.
