NATS on a Mac

High-performance messaging + JetStream (self-hosted) · Message Queues & Streaming

NATS is a fast, simple messaging system; pub/sub, request/reply and queue groups, plus JetStream for persistent streams and work queues (a lighter alternative to Kafka). Install with Homebrew (nats-server); client port 4222, HTTP monitoring on :8222. The nats CLI publishes/subscribes and manages streams.

Run NATS with FrontierStack
