Jujutsu (jj) is a Git-compatible version-control system with a rethought model: the working copy is itself a commit (no staging area, nothing ever untracked-and-lost), history editing and automatic rebasing of descendants are first-class, conflicts are recorded in commits instead of stopping the world, and every operation is undoable (jj undo). brew install jj, then jj git init --colocate in an existing Git repo; the Git and jj views coexist, and pushes go to any Git remote, so GitHub/Gitea hosting, reviews and FrontierStack's git backup monitors all work unchanged.
