Istio is the feature-rich service mesh; Envoy sidecars (or ambient mode) give mTLS, fine-grained traffic management (canary, mirroring, retries), policy and rich telemetry across services. Install the istioctl CLI (brew install istioctl), then istioctl install into a cluster; pair with the Kiali dashboard and Prometheus/Grafana for observability.

Run Istio with FrontierStack

Install or connect Istio; then check its status, ports and certificate from FrontierStack. The same screen links to firewall checks, Malware Audit and backups where they apply.
