Homebridge emulates the HomeKit API so non-HomeKit smart devices appear in Apple's Home app and Siri. Its web UI (port 8581) manages plugins and accessories. Install options: via Homebrew + npm — brew install node then sudo npm install -g --unsafe-perm homebridge homebridge-config-ui-x, run with hb-service install (launchd); or Docker — docker run --net=host -v homebridge:/homebridge homebridge/homebridge; or the official macOS installer (the link). Keep it running headless via hb-service or Docker.
