Backstage (Spotify, CNCF) is the open-source framework for building an Internal Developer Portal; a software catalogue of all your services with ownership, TechDocs, the Scaffolder (software templates) and a plugin ecosystem (Kubernetes, CI/CD, cost, security). Self-host with Node: npx @backstage/create-app, then run the app (frontend :3000, backend :7007); back it with PostgreSQL for production. catalog-info.yaml files describe each component, system and team.

Run Backstage with FrontierStack

Install or connect Backstage; then check its status, ports and certificate from FrontierStack. The same screen links to firewall checks, Malware Audit and backups where they apply.
