Apache APISIX is a dynamic, real-time API gateway built on Nginx/OpenResty + etcd; hot-reloaded routes, 100+ plugins (auth, rate-limit, observability, canary), gRPC/MQTT/Dubbo proxying and a Kubernetes Ingress Controller (Gateway API). Run via Docker/Helm (proxy on :9080, Admin API on :9180); APISIX Dashboard gives a UI. CNCF-adjacent, ASF top-level project.
