Web Push on a Mac

Browser push services behind VAPID (status) · Push Services

Web Push is how a website sends notifications to a visitor's browser. The site signs each push with its own VAPID key pair; generated by the site, not issued by anyone, so there is no vendor account behind it (rotate and check the pair in KeyRotate). The push itself is delivered by the browser maker's service: Google FCM for Chrome and Edge, Mozilla autopush for Firefox, and Apple Web Push (APNs) for Safari. This pane watches those three services and their status feeds, and can alert when one is down or reports an incident. Nothing is installed and nothing is sent.
