Vector on a Mac
High-performance logs/metrics pipeline (self-hosted) · Logging & Observability
Vector (by Datadog, open source) is a very fast Rust pipeline for logs and metrics — sources → transforms (VRL) → sinks like Loki, Elasticsearch, S3 or Datadog. Install with Homebrew; configure /opt/homebrew/etc/vector/vector.yaml and run as a service. A modern replacement for Logstash/Fluentd in many stacks.
