urlscan.io on a Mac
Sandboxed URL scanning; see what a link really does (cloud API) · Security Tools
urlscan.io loads a URL in a sandboxed browser and records everything it does: the domains it contacts, resources it pulls, redirects it follows, cookies it sets and a screenshot of what a visitor would see. That makes it the right tool for a suspicious link in an email or a referrer in your logs; the local ClamAV and YARA engines here only scan files already on disk, so they cannot tell you what a URL does when opened. Cloud API with a generous free tier; store the key below. Note that public scans are visible to everyone; use an unlisted or private scan for anything sensitive.
