The Lounge is a modern, self-hosted web IRC client; a persistent connection (like a bouncer) with a clean browser UI, so you can reach IRC from any device and keep history. npm i -g thelounge (or Docker thelounge/thelounge), thelounge start; web UI on :9000. Front it with the Reverse Proxy pane for TLS.
