Plaid is a financial-data API that connects user bank accounts to your app; account/balance, transactions, identity, income and payment initiation; via Plaid Link. Cloud-hosted with nothing to install: create a client_id + secret in the Plaid Dashboard, choose an environment (Sandbox / Production), and call the REST API. Keep the secret in Keychain; pairs with the accounting tools here for reconciliation and the Model Costs/Alerts patterns for usage.
