Odoo on a Mac

Open-source ERP suite — self-hosted (Python + PostgreSQL) · Accounting & ERP

Odoo is a modular open-source business suite — CRM, sales, invoicing, accounting, inventory, manufacturing, HR, project and website — all on one PostgreSQL database. Self-host the Community edition (Python, or the official Docker image): the web UI serves on :8069 with longpolling/websockets on :8072, run by odoo-bin and configured in odoo.conf (addons_path, workers, the DB settings and the admin_passwd master password). The database manager at /web/database/manager creates, duplicates, backs up and restores databases (its /web/database/backup endpoint makes dumps scriptable with the master password). This pane monitors it live over Odoo's external API (JSON-RPC at /jsonrpc) — server version, active users and installed modules — using a per-user API key. Because Odoo *is* a Postgres app, point the Database Health pane at its database for corruption checks, backups and the “Why slow/stuck?” live-query diagnosis. (The Odoo CRM entry covers just the CRM module of this same suite.)
