ONVIF Cameras on a Mac

Standards-based camera discovery & control · Cameras

ONVIF is the industry standard that lets cameras and NVRs interoperate — auto-discovery (WS-Discovery), stream-URI retrieval, PTZ and events, regardless of brand. The device service lives at http:///onvif/device_service (port 80, 8000, or 2020). ONVIF cameras appear in Device Discovery (_onvif._tcp); set the “ONVIF Camera” platform for port checks. Frigate/Scrypted/ZoneMinder all consume ONVIF.
