IFTTT on a Mac
Trigger IFTTT applets from FrontierStack alerts (Webhooks) · Automation & Workflows
IFTTT connects hundreds of consumer apps and smart-home devices with simple applets. FrontierStack can fire an applet whenever an alert goes out, through IFTTT's Webhooks service: turn on IFTTT (Webhooks) in Alerts ▸ Messaging Channels, paste your Webhooks key (ifttt.com/maker_webhooks ▸ Documentation), and pick an event name. Each alert sends value1 = title, value2 = message and value3 = critical for a down alert or info otherwise. Set a separate event name for down alerts so a real outage can flash the office lights or ring a phone while recoveries stay quiet. You can also give a contact their own Webhooks key in Alerts ▸ Contacts & Escalation, so a preset step fires an applet on *their* IFTTT account; for example the on-site technician's phone rings through their own VoIP applet. IFTTT's Webhooks service needs an IFTTT Pro plan. Nothing is installed; the key is stored in the Keychain. For self-hosted automation, see Huginn or n8n.
