GS1 Digital Link on a Mac
Own your product-QR resolver (self-host or SaaS) · QR & Link Management
GS1 Digital Link is the open standard behind the retail “2D barcode Sunrise” (target 2027): a product's QR encodes a URL carrying its GTIN (e.g. id.example.com/01/09506000134352) that a resolver redirects to product info, commerce, or authentication — one scannable code for shoppers, checkout and supply chain. You can pay a QR SaaS to host this, OR run your own resolver so the codes resolve through YOUR domain — no per-scan fees, full analytics, no vendor lock-in. FrontierStack helps you stand up and monitor a self-hosted resolver (a small web service that maps GTIN paths to destinations), or watch a hosted one's health. Open-source resolvers exist (GS1's reference implementation and others). See the website's “2D Barcode Sunrise” guide.
