GreyNoise on a Mac

Is this IP scanning everyone, or targeting you? (cloud API) · Security Tools

GreyNoise watches the background radiation of the internet; the mass scanners, crawlers and opportunistic bots that hit every public address all day. That answers the triage question a reputation score cannot: is this IP scanning everyone, or is it aimed at you? An address seen scanning the whole internet is noise; the same hit from an IP GreyNoise has never observed is far more interesting. It also flags *RIOT* addresses; known-benign infrastructure like Google DNS or CDN health checkers; so you stop chasing routine traffic. FrontierStack uses it live in the assistant's IP analysis, alongside the AbuseIPDB score. Enable it in Settings ▸ Security (off by default, because a lookup tells GreyNoise which address you're investigating). The Community API answers without an account; add a key below for higher limits.
