Aviosys IP Power on a Mac
IP Power 9258 / 9820 / 9850 / 9858 network power switches, controlled natively in Power Control · IoT
Aviosys IP Power units (9258 family, 9820 with eight outlets, 9850, 9858, 9255) ship with Windows-only utilities, but every model answers the same local web commands those tools use; so FrontierStack controls them directly from the Mac, with nothing installed on the unit. Add one in Power Control as *Aviosys IP Power*: address, the outlet number printed on the unit, and its login (kept in Keychain, sent in a header, never in a URL). You get live status, On, Off and the unit's own timed power cycle, which brings the outlet back even if it feeds the network path to this Mac; link the outlet to a server or device and it can be power-cycled automatically after failed health checks. The original 9258 firmware, which numbers outlets from P60, is detected automatically. Change the factory login (admin / 12345678): the unit's web commands accept whoever knows it. Telnet, SNMP and Modbus on newer models aren't needed.
