Blacksmith on a Mac

Managed high-performance CI runners for GitHub Actions (cloud) · CI/CD

Blacksmith (blacksmith.sh) drops in faster, cheaper GitHub Actions runners — point your workflows at its runs-on: labels (gaming-CPU bare metal) and get accelerated jobs plus transparent cache acceleration and Docker layer caching, with no self-hosted runner to manage. This pane monitors it live: recent jobs across your repos split by fleet (GitHub-hosted vs Blacksmith vs self-hosted, via each job's labels) with failures, durations and queue waits, plus both providers' status pages — armable as Alerts. Migrate a Repo's Workflows rewrites runs-on labels (and docker/build-push-action) with a preview before writing. Install the Blacksmith GitHub App first; the blacksmith Testbox CLI is optional. Pairs with the GitHub Actions pane (shared token).

Run Blacksmith with FrontierStack

FrontierStack lists Blacksmith in its CI/CD catalog. Blacksmith is a hosted service, so there is nothing to install — connect your account with an API token and FrontierStack watches it alongside everything you self-host: reachability, its published status, and alerts when it stops answering. Credentials stay in your Mac's Keychain.

Run it all from one Mac app.

FrontierStack installs, monitors and secures the whole stack — locally and across your fleet — from a single native macOS app.
