Nomad is HashiCorp's simple, flexible orchestrator — schedules containers, plus raw binaries, Java and VMs, in one binary (a lighter alternative to Kubernetes). Install with the HashiCorp tap; nomad agent -dev for local, UI/API on :4646. Pairs with Consul (service mesh) and Vault (secrets).
