Bedrock (roots.io) restructures a WordPress project the way a modern PHP application is built: Composer manages core, plugins and themes as real dependencies, configuration moves to environment variables in .env, and web roots are separated so wp-config.php sits outside the document root. The result is a WordPress site you can commit to git, deploy repeatably and roll back \u{2014} rather than one edited in place through wp-admin. Pairs with Trellis for server provisioning; WP-CLI works normally, so the WordPress pane manages a Bedrock site like any other.
