sccache (Mozilla) is a ccache-like compiler cache that also covers Rust and can store objects in a shared backend — local disk, Redis, S3/GCS or memcached — so caches are shared across machines and CI. Install with Homebrew; set RUSTC_WRAPPER=sccache or wrap the C/C++ compiler.
