BIND (named) is the reference DNS server and the same engine Apple Server used for its DNS service — so migration is a straight copy of the zone files. Install with Homebrew (brew install bind) or a Linux package, drop the zones from /Library/Server/named into named.conf, and it serves them on :53. Pairs with the Domain Health and DNS panes.
