Make (formerly Integromat, now part of Celonis) is a visual automation platform: you build *scenarios* on a drag-and-drop canvas that chain 3,000+ app connectors, with routers, iterators, aggregators and error handlers — considerably more expressive than a linear Zap, and the usual pick when a workflow needs real branching and data shaping. Make AI Agents add agentic steps that decide and adapt at run time rather than following a fixed path, and scenarios can call any AI model as a step. Cloud-hosted (regional zones: eu1, us1, …) and billed by *operations* rather than per-task; there's a free tier. Automate it via the REST API v2 at https://.make.com/api/v2 — list and run scenarios, read blueprints and execution logs — authenticated with Authorization: Token from Profile ▸ API, where each token carries the scopes you pick at creation. Note the base URL is per-zone: check your dashboard's address bar, since a token from an eu1 account won't work against us1. Keep the token in Keychain. Pairs with the self-hosted alternatives here (n8n, Activepieces, Windmill) when you'd rather own the runtime.
